Widely considered one of the most groundbreaking and influential broadcast series of all time, TWIN PEAKS followed the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town who were stunned after their homecoming queen Laura Palmer is shockingly murdered. The town’s sheriff welcomed the help of FBI agent Dale Cooper, who came to town to investigate the case. As Cooper conducted his search for Laura’s killer, the town’s secrets were gradually exposed. The mystery that ensued set off an eerie chain of events that plunged the inhabitants of Twin Peaks into a darker examination of their very existence. Twenty-five years later, the story continues… Here’s an early tease from series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost: http://s.sho.com/TwinPeaks.

GRAMMY AWARD WINNER FIONA APPLE CREATES ORIGINAL SONG FOR MAIN TITLES OF NEW SHOWTIME DRAMA THE AFFAIR

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Fiona Apple has contributed the brand new original song “Container” for the main title sequence of the highly-anticipated new SHOWTIME series THE AFFAIR. "Container" was written and performed by Apple and produced by frequent collaborator Blake Mills. After being approached by THE AFFAIR creator and executive producer, Sarah Treem, Apple constructed a hauntingly beautiful treatment for her previously unreleased song, largely inspired by the shows restrained yet complex narrative.

THE AFFAIR debuts on Sunday, October 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME.

FRANK, MATT & MARTY PARTY!

Beginning Sunday, January 11th, SHOWTIME will celebrate the New Year with its three Emmy-nominated leads William H. Macy, Don Cheadle and Matt LeBlanc when brand new seasons of SHAMELESS (9 p.m.), HOUSE OF LIES (10 p.m.) and EPISODES (10:30 p.m.) return on the network’s powerhouse, triple-header Sunday night.

SHAMELESS: First up at 9 p.m. ET/PT, it’s the fifth season of SHAMELESS starring Oscar nominee and Emmy winner William H. Macy as pickled patriarch Frank Gallagher and Golden Globe nominee Emmy Rossum as daughter Fiona. Recently garnering three Emmy Award nominations in the Comedy category, SHAMELESS season five finds the Gallaghers dealing with both the upside and downside of personal and urban renewal.  As their neighborhood begins a move towards gentrifying, the Gallagher clan begins to reconcile their chaotic past in the hopes of building a better future. Dermot Mulroney and Steve Kazee and Sasha Alexander will guest star. The series stars Macy and Rossum, along with Ethan Cutkosky, Emily Bergl, Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey, Emma Kenney, Cameron Monaghan, Jeremy Allen White, Noel Fisher and special guest star Joan Cusack.

HOUSE OF LIES: Next, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Oscar nominee Don Cheadle returns as Marty Kaan in the fourth season of HOUSE OF LIES. We last left a despondent Marty alone in the desert after a cataclysmic double-cross by Jeannie (Kristen Bell) and a visit by the Feds. This season, Marty’s brief stint in white collar prison left Jeannie to pick up the pieces of the now tainted Kaan & Associates with Clyde (Ben Schwartz) and Doug (Josh Lawson). Client flight decimated the bottom line, but Marty is a singular focus: winning, at any and all cost. Larenz Tate (Rush) returns as Marty’s brother Malcolm along with new guest stars Demetri Martin (The Daily Show with John Stewart) and Valorie Curry (The Following).

EPISODES: Finally, Matt LeBlanc is back as, well, Matt LeBlanc in the fourth season of EPISODES at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. He returns in his Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning role as a fictionalized version of himself. This season, Matt faces a financial crisis and is forced to make some tough decisions. Matt being Matt, he will likely make the wrong ones. Sean (Stephen Mangan) and Beverly (Tamsin Greig) have been dragged back to L.A. to shoot more episodes of their disastrous sitcom Pucks! Meanwhile, their other project, The Opposite of Us, refuses to go away.  And there’s a new network head who will, in all likelihood, make life more complicated for everyone.

The season two finale of RAY DONOVAN airs this Sunday, September 28th at 9PM ET/PT. Check out this sneak peek clip from the episode!

All season, Ray has manipulated everyone including the FBI, Boston reporter Kate, and even his own family, but all of his problems will come to a head in the explosive season two finale.

With Kate’s comprehensive story about Sully’s murder about to be published, Ray could face prison and damage everyone else’s lives around him.  Bridget is still in danger after witnessing her boyfriend’s murder, triggering Ray to do whatever it takes to keep her safe.  Meanwhile, Mickey’s latest heist falls short, but he comes up with a plan that sends him to the races to bet big.  And now that their marriage is blatantly broken, will Abby decide to stay with Ray or leave him for Jim, a cop who wants to play by the rules?
